Vision:
Isaiah 58:6-11
"Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To
loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the
oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is
it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your
house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover
him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?... |

From October 2003 until June 2007: What used to happen at the Arena
We went to the Arena Inn & Suites in Anaheim at Katella and Haster every Friday night from about 6:30 p.m. until around 10:30 p.m. We started with five people in October 2003 planting seeds and giving them "a cup of cold water in the Name of Jesus." We began planting by preparing some type of meal for them each Friday.
Which we resumed again in May 2005 with Cindy, Chuck, and Linda's help.
Now we focus on teaching of the word. Adults and kids alike "circle-up" for prayer and then we have worship. Some of the kids even spontaneously dance during worship, lead by D.J.; it's amazing. The kids can feel the love of Jesus and they express it back with smiles of joy on their faces.
Wyatt gives a word in the parking lot; we've already studied Mark, Habakkuk, Colossians, and Philippians. The church is growing in the Word; it's wonderful to watch. "The just shall live by
faith."
We are available to pray with the people there and to encourage them. On May 28, 2005, our prayer request for a musician was answered. Howard who lives in Westminster comes with his Q-Chord and leads us in worship. He used to ride all the way on the
bus, now we pick him up.
Tom and Joanne then distribute bread and desserts that we are given by Ralphs and Costco.
Julie and her helpers man the Tent of Meeting where clothing and the like under the "prayer popup tent" are distributed, as available to us by donation. We call it the prayer tent because Julie recommends the clothing but also will take them inside for prayer! It's the tabernacle of healing!
Mercier and Bridget love to pray and encourage the believers. They just started bring out their new dog Chloe, a beagle/pointer mix with a big heart and lots of kisses for the kids. Pastor Kurt from Calvary Chapel Seaside comes out regularly to pray, distribute Bibles, and knock on doors with Rick Kernan, Felipe, and the rest. The teenage girls are always a great help to the kids and adults alike. From bringing meals over to those who can't stand as well, to playing soccer with the "resident team," to hugging the kids, they are always open to what the Lord would have them to do.
The combination of the unconditional love, prayers, message, etc. have really
changed the atmosphere at this motel.
We are looking forward to the miraculous. We praise God for what He has done in answering prayers for healing, salvation, jobs, and apartments. We praise God for what He is going to be doing in the future.
